As a counselor, maintaining my well-being is essential to providing the best support for my clients. My self-care plan includes a balance of activities that nourish my mind, body, and heart.

  • Family Time & Support Network: Spending quality time with my family and close friends refills my cup and provides a sense of connection and grounding. I prioritize quality time with the ones I love, keeping my work-life balance in check.

  • Travel: I truly enjoy traveling whether to other countries or across the state. Each trip allows me to gain fresh perspectives, and experience different cultures, which enhances my personal and professional growth.

  • Daily Walks & Sunshine: Being outdoors, soaking in natural light, and moving my body helps regulate stress, boost my mood, and improve my overall health.

  • Cuddles with My Pets: There are few things better than a night in watching a movie with my fluffy cat curled in my lap and chatty husky pup by my side. These moments of joy and relaxation help me unwind from the demands of counseling.

  • Yoga: Sweating it out in hot yoga helps me stay present, reduce stress, and improve both physical and mental flexibility. It is an essential part of my routine for maintaining balance and mindfulness.

By committing to these self-care practices, I ensure that I can show up fully for my clients while also preserving my own well-being.
